ANZAC Day 2015

ANZAC Day is on this Saturday 25 April. As a school we value the opportunity for our students to represent our school in full uniform at the Emerald ANZAC Day March. This is a wonderful way our students can demonstrate to the community our appreciation to our very generous service men and women, past and present. If your child is able to join us, please have them in correct full school uniform, with hat and drinking bottle to assemble no later than 10.15am at the Lion’s Park (corner Yamala and Ruby Streets). Look for the staff and students holding the Emerald North State School banner from 10am.
The parade will then proceed down Egerton Street at 10.30am and turn left to the Cenotaph Intersection, where the main service will take place.  Students are encouraged to wear the medals of deceased relatives, but it is stressed, that as a mark of respect they are worn on the right hand side of the chest. On completion of the Service, the Parade will march to the Council Office at the corner of Egerton and Borilla Streets where parents will then be able to collect their students.
We will hold our very special school parade on Friday 24 April commencing at 9:00am in the hall. This parade will be for our whole school and all parents and extended family are invited to attend. Our school captains are looking forward to chairing this very significant parade.
