Parking concerns

It has been bought to our attention that although most of our parents are fabulous and patient, recently there are some parents not following the rules.

The circular driveway at the rear of the Administration Building is a loading zone with a single parking bay for deliveries only. No other vehicles will be permitted in this area. This includes dropping students off in the mornings. There is parking available in Campbell, Retro and Borilla Streets with Crossing Supervisors operating on these streets before and after school.

The visitor car park at the front of the school accommodates two Disability Parking Spaces and three spaces reserved for the administration team. Parents are not to park in these spaces.

The carpark to the right hand side of the entrance near the Diverse Learning Centre will continue to be for staff parking and permit holders only. Some parents have been parking in the staff car park which continues along Borilla Street. Permit applications can be obtained from our HOSES, Mrs Sunanda Bradbury.

It has been observed that some parents have been leaving small children unattended in their car while they drop off students. This practice is highly dangerous and illegal. Licence plate numbers will be taken and reported to the police.

We ask all parents to please ensure that they do not drive into the school grounds, or illegally park when waiting for the children, this will result in a fine. Even worse than that, you may be responsible for causing an injury to one of our students.
A request has been lodged with the local police to please come and enforce the correct parking and driving behaviours around our school and help us maintain a safe environment for our kids at all times.
